City View Hotel Roman Road Market

It's small hotel in Roman Street with cozy environment. Staff is good and cooperative. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is not provided there, have to dine out. A Turkish cafeteria opposite to hotel have good quality food. There's nearby 1 minute walk a bus station to move easily on the otherwise can get a rent a car or Uber which is costly.

It's basic but a nice wee place. The staff are always cheerful and happy to chat. The room was small but definitely worked for what I needed. They have a tea kettle in the room and a small fridge. Microwave and water cooler in the lobby. The area is lovely and has plenty of shops around and is within walking distance to other shops also.

Im currently staying here as a base for working nightshifts very close by.I meet the guy in reception and he took me down to there basement rooms mine was 102.He also helped me with my bag which was very nice of him. I was suprised with the shower setup but once getting used to it its fine.There is quite a high narrow step up to the shower and toilet.The water was warm enough and was fine for me to use.Ive not really bothered with the tv or wifi in city as i have the phone.I was pleased to see a fridge in the room to store a cold drink for when i wake up in the room.There is a cold water machine in the recpetion and a breakfast available which ive not tried.The guys working there have all been friendly with me there and will continue to stay while im working in bethnal green.

this is the best hotel i’ve ever stayed in, 10/10

London is not a very easy place to find affordable lodging. We decided on City View Hotel, mostly because we didn't want to share a bathroom and the price included breakfast. Some years back I went to London and was shocked with the appaling conditions of the hotel so I was understandably skeptical this time. Luckilly the room did not disappoint. It was big, the bed was extremely comfortable and we had our own kitchen and bathroom. There were towels available and everything neat. The breakfast was simple but satisfying- and the cook was also extremely friendly. One has to be prepared to use google maps to find the place. It's not very hard -from central london, it's about 20-40 metro trip and then a brisk 15 minute walk- but one should be mindful of this. It's not a high-end place but I'd recommend it. It's perfect if you want to spend a few days or a week in London.

Cheap and cheerful..it's alright for a night or two.

5 stars all round. Look. Here’s the deal with this place. If you’re coming here on holiday and want a full hotel experience. Then yes, you’re going to be disappointed. But if you want a place to lay your head down for a very reasonable price with no expectations, then this is the one. I give this place 5 stars all round. Nice staff, good facilities, a place to crash. Don’t listen to the haters

Good budget choice. Can be noisy outside (setting up the market from 6am) but not the fault of the hotel. Excellent transport links. Bus routes 2 minutes away, Underground and DLR around a 15 minute walk. Cafes, fast food and restaurants all on the doorstep.
